Aspen Ladd started her combat sports career at the age of 14. She studied kickboxing, boxing as well as wrestling, before making her first appearance in amateur competition at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd gained momentum from this victory and went on a 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat finishing her opponents inside the first round in all the fights. She outclassed Lina with a ground-and-- - hit her for a TKO win in the second round. Her dominance grew and she won a much more convincing victory when she fought Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd ended Evinger in the first round. She also received her a night's performance bonus. Invicta FC fighter Sijara Eugenes in a UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Lee fight with Eubanks of Sijara, was the first fight she's ever had in any significant capacity. Both fighters fought a close fight that Ladd beat by a unanimous decision. The two fighters each received the Fight of the Night Bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie defeated Ladd within 16-seconds, ending her win streak. Yana Knitskaya, in the UFC 7 ESPN 7's final round, was defeated by Randamie. For a replacement last minute to her UFC fight, she took on Norma Dumont during UFC Fight Night 195. The fight ended in an unanimous decision.
