Apollonia Kotero

Patricia Apollonia Kotero is an American singer-actress and former model. Her name was associated with her as the co-star of Prince's 1984 movie Purple Rain, and the singer for the girl band Apollonia 6 It was among the many female artists that benefited from Prince's association throughout the 1980s. Patricia Kotero, born 1959 in Santa Monica California began her career as an actress and model. in the latter half of the 1970s, she was a guest on CHiPS. In 1984 she landed the female lead in Prince's Purple Rain (during which time she altered her name) and was replaced by Vanity as a member of the female group Vanity 6 performing with them on the screen with the title Apollonia 6. The three scored a minor smash with Sex Shooter however it was in the role of Prince's duet partner on Take Me with You from the soundtrack that she had more of an impact on charts. Kotero and Prince had a fallout over her future career. Apollonia6 split, Kotero didn't continue her relationship with Prince. She went on to appear in several minor films during this time (reportedly declining to appear on the Purple Rain follow-up Under the Cherry Moon) and then landed a role on the night-time show Falcon Crest during 1985-1986. Apollonia was finally able to make her debut album available in the year 1988. It didn't leave a lasting impression on fans of music and soon faded from the music scene. In the years that followed, she remained an active actress with minor film roles and a few TV series. Apollonia created a bilingual Spanish and English album called Stay With me. After returning to school, she and received a degree in making films. Then she founded her business and was employed as a child's TV host. Apollonia holds a number of jobs. She was a model, actress, and talent manager. As an actress she is famous for her performance in the movie Purple Rain. She has also appeared on television shows as well as in movies like Black Magic Woman. Kotero debuted her career as a model. Kotero was a participant in a variety of contests and pageants. Kotero is the winner of Miss San Pedro Beauty Pageant. In the early 1980s she started the acting profession. Apollonia Kotero has worked as an American model, actor as well as a talent management manager. Her most well-known role was the vocalist for Apollonia 6 and her part in Purple Rain. Kotero has released both solo and collaborative albums as well as several songs like Red Light Romeo's Mismatch and the Same Dream, Since I have fallen for You. Kotero, as an actress has been in many show on television, such as CHiPs Fantasy Island Tales of the Gold Monkey Knight Rider Matt Houston Falcon Crest among other shows. Alongside Purple Rain, she has appeared in numerous films. Her popular films are Back To Back Black Magic Woman La Donna di una Sera and Cattive Ragazze. This American model is famous for her appearance in music videos featuring stars like Ray Parker Jr. Kotero has also been an entrepreneur who founded Kotero Entertainment, a multimedia entertainment business.
